NOT NEWS -- Just a writing exercise and my take on it.
Prosecutors have charged a teenager mother for killing child.
police say Linda Daniels of Saint Louis beat her child against a street curb.
k-y-3's Brad Belote explains why this case has police baffled.
It was here on Market Street downtown where police say Linda Daniels killed her two and a half month old daughter Destiny. Witnesses were stunned by what they saw.
"We saw the girl running out of the house, she had the baby in her hands, she had her by the legs, she was just beating her on the ground. We stopped and my heart just dropped."
Police say the child died of head trauma.. what they don't know is why Daniels did it.
"Tests did not indicate that there were any drugs in the mother's system. She was clean. No alcohol either."
Daniels' father tells k-y-3 she was beating treated for mental problems.
"No sane person would do this. My daughter needs help. She's not right in the head. "
a judge could determine if Daniels is fit to stand trial. Brad Belote, KY3 News
